the God of your fathers,
of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

As you follow in his footsteps, may you accept the mysteries of Christ,
certain in the embrace of his unfailing love.

And may you live the vision of God,
his partner in the transforming work of redemption,
eagerly awaiting the glorious day
when all things are made new.

May you follow the course of wisdom in your life,
choosing the right road in your journey through life.

Be humble –
a quiet spirit can overcome great mistakes.
Be a good judge of character –
it is a mistake to give great authority to foolish people.
Be vigilant, but sensible –
you can’t avoid danger in life.
