May you be transformed
as you walk along the mysterious path of Jesus Christ.
May you never be a part of a community
that expects too little of you,
makes you feel too comfortable
or lets you stay where you are.
And if you find yourself in such a place
may you travel to the hillside in Galilee
where Jesus sits,
to learn at the feet of the master,
but then return,
bringing with you
the wonderful message of Christ.
Holy God
We come before you, humbled by the display of your mighty power as you bring life and renewal to the world. We ask for that same power to enter our hearts and bring change and renewal in our lives, according to your promise to make all things new.
In this week we set aside to remember the blessings in our lives, we ask you to place on our hearts those who have not, and that you move us to act as the hands and feet of Jesus Christ in a world of desperate need. Teach us to use the blessings we have from you to bless others, instead of gratifying ourselves.
We ask that we would be transformed from people who care so much about ourselves and what other people think about us into people who are concerned with your kingdom, and the liberation and reconciliation you have offered in the person of Jesus Christ.
And may you work in us and through us,
transforming our lives into the image of Christ
and our world into your Kingdom
where there is no death,
neither sorrow nor pride,
but fullness of joy and peace
through Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior,
Amen.
As you journey on the path to Zion,
may you look to the Lord for help.
May you choose daily to follow the path of righteousness,
allowing the spirit of God to transform your life
into the glorious image of Christ.
And may you embrace a life eternal,
significant,
transforming,
as you walk each day,
full of the radiant Glory of God.
May we sing of the love and justice of God.
In the worship of our lives,
may we sacrifice all we are,
continually transformed into the image of Christ.
And may the lives we lead
be consistent and true
infused with the integrity of the Lord
reflections of his holiness and character.
As you encounter the story of God
May you allow the author of all life
to weave you into his masterpiece
guiding and directing you in his glorious plan.
May you watch for his hand,
listen for his voice,
wait for his deliverance
And may you place your story in the hands of God,
a part of his story,
transformed into his image,
complete in the fullness of the Lord.
When surrounded by enemies who mock you,
remember the splendor of the kingdom of God.
Remember the faithfulness of the Lord,
whose promises always come true.
And even if you cannot sing a joyous song,
even if your heart is crushed in sorrow,
even if you desire to strike back against your foe
wait patiently for the Justice of God
who promises to make all things right
in His time.
May you remember the enduring love of the Lord.
As you remember who he is,
what he has done,
and what he continues to do,
May you give thanks for his goodness,
his mercy, and his Grace.
And in all you do,
may that enduring love guide you
in who you are,
in what you do,
and in who you hope to be.
If your heart is broken,
if you cry until tears no longer come,
if your spirit is poured out in agony
and you grieve with terrible loss,
remember.
Though the Lord brings grief,
he also shows compassion.
He does not enjoy hurting people,
or causing them sorrow.
The Lord is good to those who depend on him,
to those who search for him.
It is good
to wait quietly
for salvation from the Lord.
For his faithfulness is great,
his mercy eternal.
May you place your hope in Him.
Do you feel like God is far away?
Are you confronted with enemies at every turn?
Do you feel alone and helpless?
God knows the hopes of he helpless,
he hears your cries,
and will comfort you.
Cry out to the Lord
raise your voice to him,
and he will hear you.
He will not ignore you
or belittle your suffering.
He will not turn his back on you
but will listen to your cries for help.
May you feel the warmth of the presence of Christ,
before you,
behind you,
around you.
Draw strength from his presence,
comfort from his provision.
Lean on his outstretched arm.
And in all you do,
may you allow the Spirit of God to transform you daily
into the perfect image of Christ.
