May you wait patiently for the Lord.
Though you live in uncertain times,
though you endure painful struggles,
though it seems God is nowhere to be found,
may you find peace and strength
in the one who created the universe.
And as you walk through life
may you be constantly filled with the hope of Christ
eternal and immediate
and always be renewed
in his perfect grace and love.
Now you are the body of Christ,
and each of you is a part of it.
May you strive to find your part in Christ’s body –
arms, hands, lips.
May you speak for the voiceless
act for the helpless
carry the weak.
And may you employ God’s blessings in your life
not for your comfort,
but as an extension of the healing and grace
of the giver of every good and perfect gift.
as you encounter a hurting world,
may your life be full of grace and mercy.
may you reach out daily with the love of Christ,
touching people around you
with the hands of a caring God.
and as you live
may you embrace fully
the requirements of the Lord:
to do what is right
to love mercy
and to walk humbly with your God.
as you walk a familiar road
may you seek new experiences with every step.
may you see with new eyes
landmarks along the way
noticing the fingerprints of God
along your path.
and as you journey
may you lose sight of your destination
content to sojurn in the loving presence
of an almighty God.
May you sing to the Lord songs of joyous praise,
your heart connected to the heart of Christ.
May you pause to consider the depth of his grace and mercy,
his hand moving in the events of your life.
And may you daily encounter God
in sound and silence
in community and alone
drawn to the creator of the universe,
captivated by his very being.
May you stand victorious in the blood of Christ
secure in his power and majesty,
praising and exalting his name.
May you rise and shine in a world of darkness,
declaring God’s glory, rejoicing in his daily created mercy,
patiently awaiting his return.
May you know Christ as redeemer, counselor and friend,
receiving hope in hopelessness,
surrendering weakness for strength,
hungry for healing and grace.
And here, in this place,
may you encounter a living God,
raising your voice in song,
leaving your burdens and cares at the cross,
confident in the love and mercy
of a holy God.
may you feel the beating of the divine heart –
constant,
steady,
the pulse of Christ,
driving the life of the universe.
may you know his character and will,
blessing the righteous and unrighteous alike
lifegiving blood flowing to friend and enemy,
grace showered freely
to we who deserve it not.
and may your heart beat as his,
bringing life and assurance
to a world of chaos –
steady hope of life yet to come.
as you depart into a thorny world
may your steps continue the journey of Christ.
may you serve with open hands and open hearts
loving recklessly those you encounter,
transforming them into the image of Christ.
MAy you feast at the table of the Lord,
nourished by his constant provision and blessing,
sustained by his hand.
And may you invite others to the banquet,
a simple beggar
sharing heaven’s bread.
May you daily live in the story of Christ,
your life a constant reflection of God’s glory,
your actions a constant extension of his hands.
May the Light of God, spoken into existence,
be continually around you,
shining into a dark and stormy world,
rays of hope to all you meet.
And may you embrace life,
certain of a beautiful end to your journey,
safe in the arms of the Author of Life.
May you shoulder your cross
and follow Christ
unafraid to lose your life for the Gospel.
May you be constantly mindful
of the value of your soul,
always striving to journey
toward the full and complete life found in Christ.
And may you never be ashamed of the Son of Man
honoring and showing Him in the entirity of your life
perpetually found
in the warm embrace
of a loving Savior
