Some HDR panoramas from the Blue Ridge Parkway. I’m particularly proud of the last one, which is a 96 image composite. Man these take a long time to process though…
Some panoramic shots taken in the Smoky Mountains last week. I have a new appreciation for how challenging these can be to stitch together… More to come from the Blue Ridge Parkway.
Repeat of technique from the Smokies, but spent some time today on the Blue Ridge Parkway. I also took some panoramic shots, which hopefully I’ll post soon.
I’ve really enjoyed playing with the Olympus in concert with Google’s Nik tools. Today I got to head out to the Smoky Mountains, and was able to snap some fun pics. Perhaps more to come in the days ahead.
Some shots from the UT Gardens today. Doesn’t look like there will be much more in the way of pictures after this week – though soon the leaves will be changing, which means pictures of a different sort…
Third attempt at some HDR macro shots. I’m not sure whether the effect on these is mostly from the HDR brackets themselves, or the processing that HDR Efex is putting on the images. Either way, I think the technique is interesting.
Some additional shots, this time exclusively from the UT gardens. Three of these are HDR macros, which I’m discovering can be somewhat tricky to take.
Shots from both the UT Gardens and Knoxville Gardens today. Lots of fun stuff to take pictures of this time of year. Also started experimenting with several HDR macro shots, which I think is probably much less common that general HDR shots. Will probably continue experimenting, as the effect can be cool.
Spent some time in the Smokies today looking for leaves. Missed by a bit, but still some fun stuff there. Hope to take some long exposures later this week – if I can motivate myself to get back up there. Here’s to hoping?
