May you notice people around you

May you notice people around you who are hurting –
those who cannot help themselves.

May you take time to serve others in their need
without seeking anything in return.

And may you act with mercy and generosity
toward those who are lowly and powerless,
serving Christ as you serve your fellow man.

May the inner places of your soul…

May the inner places of your soul
be as spotless as the outside walls
of your treasured reputation.

May you accept the corrections and teachings of God with humility.

And may the words of your mouth
and the meditations of your heart
be acceptable and pleasing
in the sight
of Almighty God.

May you love God

May you love God with all your heart.

May you love your neighbor as yourself.

And may Christ’s love compel you to service,
a minister of Grace
in the kingdom of heaven.

May you surrender your future

May you surrender your future to the Lord,
your heart and mind open to his direction for your life.

May you walk in the footsteps of Christ,
following his path among the rich and poor,
powerful and lowly,
Seeking to share with each of them
the message of the Kingdom.

And may your life reflect the splendor of god,
your spirit and purpose a testament
of heaven’s perfect love.

May you listen to the messengers of God

May you listen to the Messengers of God –
angels sent to you for warning,
encouragement,
wisdom.

May you discern God’s path for your life,
seeking to honor and glorify him in all you do.

And may you heed the call of Christ
surrendering your heart to the Lord of Life,
controlled and consumed by his relentless love.

May you weave us into one tapestry (full church, Sept 28)

Lord, God of Heaven,
though we each come from different places,
you join us together in one body.
Take both our talents and troubles
and weave us into one tapestry
showing with beauty and splendor
the story of your kingdom
that all people may be drawn
into your glorious presence.

By the grace
and the name
of Jesus Christ our Savior
who lives and reigns forever and ever.

Amen.

May you embrace the generosity of God

May you embrace the generosity of God instead of questioning it.

May you exhibit the grace of God instead of resenting it.

And may you share the life of Christ,
a worker in his eternal kingdom,
messenger of mercy without end.

May you become a minister…

May your hunger an thirst for righteousness lead you to mercy, that you become a minister of Christ’s reconciliation.

May you recognize your enormous debt to God, cancelled on Calvary’s hill for all eternity.

And may you forgive with the Spirit of Christ, who, as he was lifted up on the cross, forgave both the actions and ignorance of his killers, pleading their case before the Father in heaven.
